Any one used the new Minelab E-trac?
Got to read about it a little online was wondering if it was worth the money?

It's my go to machine.
I've got well over 3,000 hours now on it.
I wouldn't trade it for nothing!
Yes, worth every penny my friend.

I watched 7 months of Youtube videos before joining the metal detecting club. In the videos whenever someone would mention getting a new machine the detector most mentioned was the E-Trac. I am in an area where the public sites have been hunted many times before. I decided I either needed luck or a good tool, and I didn't want my enjoyment to depend on luck. I only have about 100 hours on the E-Trac and I still have a lot of learning to do. I don't have anything to compare it to but I think I made the right choice. Also, I lasted about 2 weeks before I ordered the X-1 probe. I really like having the same display for the probe as the coil.

I have a small side yard that I have had probably 15 different detectors on over the course of 10 years. I had pulled out every peice of metal out of that yard in all sorts of conditions. I went over it with the etrac and pulled deep silver, wheat pennys, nickels, a few foriegn coins and some whatchamacallits out of it. I still find stuff there. Im now having to find two whites machines new homes. May they rest in peace. IdigID
