Hello,
I'm a relative noob to the hobby and know I have much more to learn (don't we all?); however, I do have one trick that I learned many years ago from my Grandpa. Spray your new Letsch (or in Grandpa's case - your knife / shovel / spade / etc) with WD-40. Coat it good and let it set for a half minute or so to soak in. Then take a towel and wipe the oil into the tool and removing the excess. Now spray it again and repeat the process.

You'll see that your digging tool goes right into the ground and dirt comes right off. Keep your tools in good condition and prevent rust by giving it a light spray on occasion. Hope this helps!

- Terry

PS, I am STILL using tools that Grandpa did!

You are right! we all have much more to learn. And that is a great tip we all often forget to take the time to clean and take care of our tools.
