Im not sure but i think the safari and quatro are almost the same machines...I may be wrong tho.I think the safari was the upgrade to the quatro.I have no experence with either..Good Luck and HH

Andy Sabisch wrote a book on the Quattro that is excellent! I use a safari, which is very similar as Niagra says. One bit of advice - Make all metal programs in both ferrous and conductive - when you have an iffy signal that could be iron switch to all metal with ferrous and (listen) and conductive (look at the number) to see if your iffy signals are iron or not.

Also for deeper signals, the numerical output is not as accurate, so a deep 10-11 or 16 could be a nickel.
